Father's Day & Mother Russia...

A proud Daddy on Fathers Day!  And what a great day it was. Little D loves holding his own cup and he insists on taking the sippy part of the sippy cup off.  He is 17 months old and thinks he is 17.  LOL.  No way... :)  Ahh, he just melts my heart!

We decided to finally go to see the big Mother Russia monument.  It was beautiful.  Just a short train ride and we were there.  It took about 30 minutes for us to walk up the steps and paths but we made it all the way to the top. 

Chris, the history buff, says that this statue is over 85 meters and is one of the 5 tallest in the world.  Very cool.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Motherland_Calls
